WorldWise Global Schools
Tell us a little bit about you.
WorldWise Global Schools (WWGS) is Ireland’s national Global Citizenship Education (GCE) programme for post-primary settings. Funded by Irish Aid, WWGS was established in 2013 to support the integration of GCE at post-primary level in a quality, impactful way.
What motivated you to partner with ISSN?
The ISSN understands the importance of providing space to think and learn about the root causes of environmental and sustainability issues in order to take impactful and meaningful action. The ISSN has created a fantastic community of practice where both teachers and students collaborate as equals. Their work can involve all year groups, and the online approach allows them to engage with schools across Ireland.

Global Action Plan (GAP)
Tell us a little bit about you.
Our mission is to inspire and support people throughout Ireland to become environmental changemakers we work with schools, communities and businesses. We offer workshops, develop educational resources, curate two community gardens and support people and groups to advocate for change.
What motivated you to partner with ISSN?
We firmly believe that schools should be sites of learning through and for climate action. We have dep appreciation of the grassroots nature of the ISSN, and how it creates space for teachers and learners to grow, and this very closely aligns with our organisation's principles. We love the ambition and vision of the ISSN and are delighted to collaborate with them on the ISSN.

Education for Sustainability
Tell us a little bit about you.
Education for Sustainability, voted Best Social Enterprise of the year 2024, is a non-profit social enterprise aimed at increasing climate literacy and fostering behaviour change. Our aim is for all school going children in Ireland to be climate literate by 2030: to have the knowledge, skills and tools to be the changemakers for a sustainable future.
What Motivated you to partner with ISSN?
We particularly appreciate ISSN's focus on student engagement and the exchange of best practices among schools. Their commitment to supporting sustainability projects resonates with our goal of integrating sustainability into the curriculum and school culture.

Tell us a bit about you.
Our mission is to be at the heart of delivering Ireland’s energy revolution aiming to significantly reduce and replace fossil fuels. We work with citizens, communities, businesses and government to achieve this. Schools and education are a key part of our work – reaching teachers and students with our resources.
What Motivated you to be partner with ISSN?
Teachers know what is needed to motivate young people, ISSN is a network for teachers, run by teachers – this is what really attracted us to support their work. And also, because they are 100% committed to inspiring students and other teachers to get involved in climate and biodiversity action. We were delighted to support ISSN in 5 minutes of Sustainability and are now excited to be involved in their Student Ambassador Programme – a much needed initiative for schools across Ireland.
