Environmental Influencer Course.

What is this resource? This mighty course is a 10 week program that provides students with the space to think critically about social change and how it occurs.  Students are given an overview of what’s happening with climate change and biodiversity loss, they explore the links between the media, public opinion, and politics, and space is created to allow them to process their own emotions.

The course highlights the skills they need to be able to influence those around them to make positive more environmentally friendly choices. Students have the opportunity to practice a range of skills including critical thinking, active listening, discussing and debating, confidence, and reasoning skills.

Who is this resource for? Wellbeing teachers and TY Teachers can run this as a module. Teachers of CSPE, English, Politics, Religion, Science, or SPHE could examine the overview of the course and use some of the stand alone lessons to supplement or support their own subjects.

What are teachers saying?

  • Really excellent. It filled alot of gaps for me. Thankful for resources.

  • Very interesting, gave me great insights into how to apply this in the classroom! As a science teacher can definitely bring it into my students

  • It was a great run down of the topics to be covered. While I have a good awareness of the issues, it is very helpful to have a refresher. Thanks,
